If you are interested in geographic information science and technology, or have been meaning to get around to using GIS software in your work or research, then GIS day at UIC, Wednesday, 11/18/09, may have something useful for you.
 
Please note that there will be events both at the UIC Daley Library, 801 S. Morgan, and at IHRP, 1747 W. Roosevelt.  Please check the web link below for times and details.
 
At Noon in Rm. 1-210, Daley Library, there will be refreshments and GIS professionals available to answer your questions.
 
With the more widespread availability of ESRI software at UIC, a special opportunity to advance our work and research now stands before us. Please come and find out more at GIS day on 11/8/09.

Active Eraser now available to all staff/faculty through the U of I WebStore

Active Eraser, a tool that allows Windows users to securely delete files on their computer, is now available to all U of I staff and faculty at no cost through the University of Illinois WebStore. Anyone with digital copies of sensitive data on their computer should use a secure erasing tool, like Active Eraser to securely delete sensitive data.
