Faculty and Staff - You are allowed to use this software on any computers for teaching or academic purposes. Academic Licenses may be used strictly for non-commercial teaching, lesson planning, and research purposes only.

Students - You are allowed to use this software on any computers for teaching or academic purposes. Academic Licenses may be used strictly for academic learning, and research purposes only.

You must discontinue and uninstall this software from any personally owned computer when you leave the University.

What license or activation method is used?

This software is licensed through a concurrent license manager. Computer registration is NOT required.

SAP2000 SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED THROUGH A CONSORTIUM AT NO COST TO INDIVIDUAL STAFF, FACULTY AND STUDENTS. CONSORTIUM FUNDING IS OBTAINED FROM DEPARTMENT, COLLEGE AND CAMPUS CONTRIBUTIONS ACROSS THE ENTIRE UNIVERSITY. ACCESS TO THIS SOFTWARE WILL CONTINUE AS LONG AS THE FUND SOURCE AND CONTRACT ARE RENEWED.

Description

SAP2000 is general-purpose civil-engineering software ideal for the analysis and design of any type of structural system. Basic and advanced systems, ranging from 2D to 3D, of simple geometry to complex, may be modeled, analyzed, designed, and optimized using a practical and intuitive object-based modeling environment that simplifies and streamlines the engineering process.

Refer to the Computers and Structures website for more information about this software. This offer includes version 23. The current license is active until 12/2/2024.

Specifications

You are allowed to use this software on any computers for teaching or academic purposes. Academic Licenses may be used strictly for non-commercial teaching, lesson planning, and research purposes only. Academic licenses are identified as such on the Sales Order confirmation. You must discontinue and uninstall this software from any personally owned computer when you leave the University.

After installing, you will need to reboot before you will be able to open the software and you must connect to the UIUC, UIC, or UIS VPN service to run this software from off-campus or wireless.
