Oracle - Site License Overview
In the Fall of 2000 and Summer of 2009, the University of Illinois purchased a site license for a set of Oracle server products. The site license covers educational, research, and administrative use of specific Oracle software and 24/7 support for all students, faculty and staff at all University of Illinois campuses. The only exceptions are non-faculty employees of the Medical Center. Pricing of Oracle products is much higher for health care institutions, so it was not possible to include all Medical Center employees. The University did purchase a sufficient number of licenses to cover Medical Center employees who will access the ERP and Decision Support systems.
