The Build Your Own Embedded System (BYOS) instructor-lead hands-on workshop focuses on extending your NI LabVIEW skills into FPGA-based embedded design using NI reconfigurable I/O (RIO) hardware. In this 8-hour workshop, learn how to use the LabVIEW Real-Time and LabVIEW FPGA modules to configure, program, and deploy your first LabVIEW RIO based embedded system. Attendees will also create an Electrical Vehicle Battery Management System.

Prerequisites: This course is open to Graduate/Professional and Research students and faculty familiar with LabVIEW. Students MUST have completed the LabVIEW Core 1 & 2 courses or attended the LabView Bootcamp held in May to participate in this workshop. Further questions about specific qualifications for attendance should be directed to Benjamin Niemeier, National Instruments Field Engineer and Instructor. Students must provide their own laptops with Labview and drivers already installed. Drivers are available for download via this offer once purchased. An internet connection is required to use Labview.
