EndNote is a reference management software application, used to manage bibliographies and references when writing papers such as essays and articles.
In this 3-hour workshop we will learn the basics as well as explore the new features of X6: how to attach files to an EndNote Web record, or transfer file attachments between the Web and your computer; how to use the Quick Edit tab which expands in EndNote X6 to include a preview of attached PDF files and how to annotate a PDF with highlights and/or comments. New Cite While You Write options will save time with new conditional formatting that substitutes data for empty fields automatically. A new citation style—Author (Year)—which is now available in Microsoft Word along with over 5,000 new and updated output styles, will also be explored.

Parking:
Parking in the heart of campus is scarce. We suggest that you walk or take public transportation (www.cumtd.com). City meters (restricted to 2 hrs) are available on the street at both locations. There are a few campus meters in the parking lot between Coble Hall and Swanlund Administration Building on John Street and in the parking structure at Sixth & John. There is also a City of Champaign metered lot on the corner of Sixth & Green (east of Legends). Please note that parking fees are the responsibility of the class participant. WebStore is not responsible for parking tickets or towing fees of vehicles belonging to class participants. Please read all parking signs!
