In this 90 minute overview, we will explore the new interface for Skype for Business. Interface changes include easier access to call control icons, new display options and location of dial pad. Brand new features include shared notes using OneNote, File Transfer Preview, and Call Monitor (which provides a compact view of your conversation window, allowing you to monitor call progress—and mute or end the call—while focusing on other tasks). Common features such as transfer, hold, and mute will be demonstrated in the new interface and we will practice making calls and performing these actions.
Prerequisite: Familiarity with Windows and the mouse
An activated Lync (Skype for Business) account is also required (go.illinois.edu/myuc to check account status before attending)
