Includes the following:In order to help our students, faculty and staff prepare for success, we’re providing Office 365 Office software to you free of charge. You will now be able to work in the latest version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and much more. You can install your Office 365 software on up to 5 compatible PCs and Macs, plus 5 tablets (including iPad!) as well as 5 phones. All work can be saved online in OneDrive so it can be accessed no matter which device is being used. This software makes working together easier.
1. Visit http://go.uis.edu/office365
2. If prompted to sign in, enter your full University of Illinois email address:
NetID@uis.edu
3. You will be redirected to the University of Illinois sign-in page. Enter your NetID password to sign in.
4. The link will take you directly to the Microsoft 365 Apps & devices / installation page.
5. Under Office apps & devices, select the appropriate Language and Version if those options are displayed.
6. Click Install Office.
7. The Microsoft 365 installation file will download to your computer.
Windows: Look for the downloaded OfficeSetup.exe file. It will usually be in your browser's Downloads area or your computer's Downloads folder.
Mac: Look for the downloaded Microsoft Office .pkg installer file. It will usually be in your browser's Downloads area or your computer's Downloads folder.
8. Open the downloaded installation file.
Windows: If you see a message asking, “Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?”, click Yes.
Mac: Open the downloaded .pkg file and follow the installation prompts
9. Follow the instructions on the screen and allow Microsoft 365 to finish installing. The installation may take several minutes.
10. When installation is complete, open an application such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Outlook.
11. If you are prompted to sign in to activate Microsoft 365, use your University of Illinois account:

You can use the plan until you are no longer enrolled or employed at the University. Eligibility may be re-verified at any time. At expiration, the Office applications enter a reduced-functionality mode, which means documents can be viewed but it isn’t possible to edit or create new documents. In addition, online services associated with the school email address, for example Office Online and OneDrive, will no longer work.
When you leave the University, your Office 365 ProPlus subscription ends. You may enroll into other consumer or commercial offers available directly from Microsoft.
To retrieve important information, such as download links, configuration details, codes/serial numbers, and installation instructions, login to our website, and click on Order History.Find this offer on your list and click on the blue order number to open the order page. Be sure to scroll down below in download links to view information located in the yellow section.You can also go right to the order by clicking on the Order Details link in the upper right of your WebStore email receipt if you have that handy.
