Mathematica Desktop version licensing uses the familiar campus Single Sign On, SSO to quickly license your Mathematica Desktop software and provide you access to Mathematica Online without the need for codes or a separate Wolfram account.
Get started here:
- Enter your University email address (illinois.edu, uic.edu, or uis.edu) at the following URL: https://www.wolfram.com/siteinfo/
- Click “Download” button under Wolfram Mathematica.
- Enter your U of I email ( @illinois.edu, @uic.edu, @uis.edu) and password when prompted.
- The Mathematica download manger will copy to your computer.
- Run the Download Manager to download and run the installer for the software. Look for this in your Downloads folder on your computer.
- At the activation step, click “Sign in” under Activate through your organization (SSO): https://support.wolfram.com/54713
- Enter your U of I email address when prompted in a web browser to finalize activation.
- If you have a Wolfram account, you will be prompted for your Wolfram ID and password (only for the first login to retain history and existing files).
- Mathematica will confirm activation and can now be used with no internet connection required.
- Repeat this process to install Mathematica on multiple computers.
