Description

For more information on SQL Server CALs, refer to the SQL Server homepage. SQL Server Client Access Licenses (CALs) are required to access a SQL Server (purchased separately). They are not included in the Campus-wide licensing and must be purchased for each device that obtains data from the SQL Server. For instance, a person accessing a website which displays data that came from a SQL Server would require a CAL for the computer from which he or she is accessing the website. Please note that CALs are not licensed by concurrent user or device but rather are licensed by the total user or device count.
