Overview
Adobe Stock Standard assets are included with the University of Illinois Adobe Creative Cloud Enterprise subscription.
Eligible faculty, staff, and students receive unlimited access to Adobe’s standard stock assets, including:

Vector graphics
-
Illustrations
These assets may be used in presentations, reports, videos, websites, instructional materials, marketing content, and other university-related creative work.

Premium Assets
Certain asset categories are not included in the University subscription, including most:

These items are marked as Premium Assets on Adobe Stock and require separate purchase through a personal Adobe Stock plan.
Searching Adobe Stock
Adobe Stock includes advanced search and filtering tools to help users locate appropriate assets among millions of available items.

Adobe Stock is integrated directly into many Creative Cloud applications, including:

Within supported applications, users can browse, preview, and license Adobe Stock assets directly inside the software.

Search for assets.
Please note:

Standard assets are generally available in the Photos, Illustrations, and Vectors categories.

Audio and Premium categories typically require additional purchase.

Some free assets may also be available in other categories.

When hovering over an asset:
-
A blue License button indicates the asset is included with your subscription.

A cart icon indicates the asset is a Premium Asset requiring separate purchase.

Select License to save the asset to your Adobe Library and use it in your projects.
Licensing and Usage Information
Most Adobe Stock assets licensed through the University of Illinois Adobe agreement are covered under an Education License.
This license generally permits faculty, staff, and students to:

Use assets in academic and professional work

Modify and reproduce assets

Include assets in university presentations, publications, course materials, and promotional content

Archive and display licensed content
Assets licensed through the University agreement should not be used for personal commercial gain outside university-related work.

Attribution Requirements
Attribution is required when Adobe Stock assets are used in an editorial context, including:

Newspapers

Newsletters
-
Press releases
-
Magazines
-
Coverage of newsworthy or cultural events
Attribution is generally not required for classroom materials, presentations, course websites, or most university business use.
However:

Some assets are licensed for editorial use only and always require attribution.

Instructors or departments may require attribution even when Adobe does not.

Contributor information is listed with each asset on Adobe Stock.
Continued Use of Licensed Assets
Once a standard Adobe Stock asset has been licensed, it may continue to be used in projects created during the user’s active University subscription period.
After a user leaves the University or loses access to their Adobe Enterprise subscription:

Previously completed projects remain properly licensed.

New projects may not continue using Adobe Stock assets obtained through the University subscription.

General Restrictions for Adobe Stock Assets
The following uses are prohibited under Adobe Stock licensing terms:

Using assets in defamatory, pornographic, misleading, immoral, or unlawful ways

Using assets in merchandise or resale templates without qualifying transformative use

Allowing third parties to extract or reuse stock assets as standalone files
-
Claiming ownership or authorship of Adobe Stock assets

Registering trademarks or service marks that include Adobe Stock content

Violating intellectual property or privacy rights associated with stock assets
-
Using stock assets to train, test, or improve machine learning or AI systems
-
Circumventing Adobe technical restrictions on downloading or sharing content
Some standard-license assets may also have print or distribution limitations.
