Adobe Enterprise Cloud Storage
What is included with Adobe Cloud Storage?
Adobe Creative Cloud includes cloud-based storage and collaboration features. Storage usage across most Adobe cloud services counts toward your organization’s enterprise storage allocation.
Examples of Adobe cloud assets include:
-
Cloud Documents
-
Synced files
-
Libraries
-
Shared collaboration files
-
Mobile creations
-
Published content
Please note that Adobe Creative Cloud Express storage is managed separately and does not count toward the same storage pool.
Accessing Your Adobe Cloud Storage
You can access Adobe cloud storage assets either through your Adobe account on Adobe.com or through the Creative Cloud Desktop application installed on your computer.
From Adobe.com
-
Sign in to your Adobe account.
-
Select Files from the top navigation menu.
Within the Files area, you will see several storage categories in the left-side menu:
-
Your Files — Includes cloud documents, synced files, published content, and mobile creations.
-
Your Libraries — Saved collections of Adobe Stock, Marketplace assets, and reusable design resources.
-
Shared With You — Files and collaborative content shared with you by colleagues or teams.
Many files can also be accessed directly from the Adobe application in which they were created.
Migrating Assets from a Personal Adobe Account to a University Account
Adobe provides an automated migration process that can transfer content from a personal Adobe account to a University Enterprise account.
Adobe documentation:
Important
Before approving the migration, please understand that this process is primarily designed for transferring content into an Enterprise account. Adobe does not provide an equivalent automated process for transferring assets back out of an Enterprise account for faculty or staff users.
Student File Transfer for Graduating or Departing Students
As of November 2024, Adobe restored the student migration tool, now called Student File Transfer.

Moving Faculty and Staff Assets Out of an Enterprise Account
Depending on the type of Adobe content involved, different transfer methods may be required.
Adobe provides guidance for manually transferring content between accounts and profiles:
At this time, Adobe does not provide an automated migration tool for faculty and staff users transferring assets out of Enterprise accounts.
Loss of Access to Adobe Cloud Storage
Access to Adobe cloud storage requires an active Adobe subscription.
The University of Illinois Adobe Enterprise subscription is renewed annually. If your subscription expires and is not renewed:
-
Your Adobe cloud data is not automatically deleted immediately.
-
You may temporarily lose access to your files and cloud services.
-
Access can typically be restored after renewing your subscription.
If you are permanently leaving the University, you should transfer or back up your Adobe cloud assets before your university account expires.
Additional Information About Adobe Cloud Storage
Adobe Creative Cloud services provide powerful tools for storing, synchronizing, and collaborating on creative work across devices and teams.
Please keep in mind that files stored under a University Enterprise account are part of the organization’s shared enterprise storage environment and may not function identically to assets stored under a personal Adobe account.
